My approach
Clients engage an Aging Life Care manager (also called Geriatric Care Manager) like me to address a broad range of needs. Aging Life Care management involves a client-centered approach, whether that client is aging in place or in an assisted living community. My focus is on helping older adults as they face the emotional and physical challenges that come with aging while also engaging with their families and with resources in their community to optimize their health and quality of life.
I apply a social work lens to my work, advocating for my clients while also encouraging self-determination and autonomy whenever possible.

Elizabeth discovered the field of geriatric care management after managing the health issues of her parents from across the country. Specifically, setting up hospice for her stepmother and participating in all steps of this process (medical, emotional and the fascinating family dynamics of older families) moved her to shift her career away from business to social work.
